Welcome to our town Aszód, situated in the centre of the Galga Valley. Let us briefly  present this lovely town taking advantage of the opportunity of the Internet.

This town has been inhabited for a long time near the hills of Gödöllo in the valley of the river Galga. It has been abandoned several times during its history, but the good geographical situation and the excellent quality agricultural land lured people back.

Aszód is the commercial and the industrial centre of the subregion. It has not only the past and the present ,but, best of all, the future. There are two secondary grammar schools with about 1500 students.

After the change of regime this settlement got its town status back. It does not actually acknowledge the number of its inhabitants, but the central part of the region, which Aszód, is getting more and more complete and the standard of living is improving. It is a little town with great tasks and plans. A town which would like to hold its "little-type".
